Managed to some how watch Velayudham and 7am Arivu during my Diwali holidays and here are my thoughts.

I am not a big fan of Surya or even Vijay. But i do like Vijay's dancing and singing. So i watched Velayudham with an open mind since it is a Masala movie and hey i did enjoy it. Almost like a dark superhero movie, the storyline (with sister sentiment) was watchable. The assasin creed theme for the superhero character used in the movie could have been different. Overall i liked the movie.

A movie all indians should be proud of, to be honest i learnt something new when i watched this movie. It was good to know that Shaolin and Kung fu was started of  by a tamilian. Shruti's acting was just average. Johnny Nguyen (Vietnam actor) who played the bad guy excelled in every way. He stole the spotlight from surya in the movie. I liked the movie for the theme, songs and acting. Enjoyed it.

This may sound weird for many, but if you asked me which movie i liked more? I would say Velayudham :)
